TAGGISH

The TAGGISH was TOWED into this prime downtown moorage and does not run~! Also the TAGGISH does not have to perform any sea trials or comply with harbor rules and regulations because 1) The owner is on the CBJ Harbor Board 2) The harbor board, the very "operations committee" that the owner is the chairman of says that its "Special Arrangement" makes it not part of the harbor system, even though he pays stall rent and power to the CBJ Harbor Department just like everyone else 3) The owner is on the CBJ Harbor Board.
The Stall rent for the SEAL is $5,000.00+ each year, the TAGGISH is TWICE the size - and "Downtown Moorage" in the summers is DOUBLE that in any harbor even Auke Bay.
It is "preferred" private moorage with even a lockable gate with barbed wire at the top of the ramp!
Do the Math. $5k times twice the size is $10,000.00 per year which is the MOST conservative estimate because of the "Premium summer Moorage Prices" each summer. Don Ethridge a current CBJ Harbor Board Member and recent long time Harbor Board President. Notice the black plastic floats "Surrounding" the TAGGISH? Those are/were/are harbor property which were supposedly sold at auction. I believe that in itself needs investigated and I have submitted a request for public information request for that, and all information regarding the TAGGISH since 2000.
IT HAS "NEVER" (NEVER) been required to move. BECAUSE IT CANT. There is NO INSURANCE on this vessel and the LIABILITY is on us CBJ Tax payers if it were to sink or catch fire IMMEDIATELY BELOW the TAKU FUEL STORAGE TANKS AND FUEL PIPES. Which leads question to a MARSEC safety of being directly below one of Juneau's Largest Fuel dumps using "Open Flame" construction, heat and cooking.
Proven history of using public office for personal gain. http://juneauempire.com/stories/092902/loc_ethridge.shtml
This is PRIME downtown moorage with an eyesore of the TAGGISH COVERED IN TARPS and even an ALUMINUM ROOF permanent structure built above the forward deck. PLEA
